About Me

My photo
Scottyp
Well this is my first venture in to the blogging world, so i'll kick off with a little about me. I started fishing when i was 7 or 8, with my grandad getting me into it down at my local Arrow Valley Lake in Redditch. It was at Arrowvalley that i got to know a local team called the Redditch Kingfishers and thats where my match fishing career really took off. We attended the nationals every year, junior and intermediate and started to enter winter leagues and Drennan leagues with varying degrees of success. the pinnacle was fishing for a couple of years in the west mids superleague and although we didnt win all that much, the learning curve was very steep, but very worth while. From the Kingfishers i moved onto Broadacres MG for a few years. but unfortunatley as so many other groups do, numbers dwindled and we couldnt do as much as we wanted. Over the last few years i have been fishing with Maver Solihull Angling fishing both their own league, and various other fishery run leagues. I've done pretty well winning the Solihull league individually 2 years out of 3, with the team manging 2nd every year!
